Hourly Range $25.00 - $40.00 (This is a union position, rate will be decided on years of experience and non-negotiable)
Certified Surgical Technologist Full-Time Evenings
Looking for an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists the physician performing a surgical procedure by establishing and maintaining a sterile field in the O.R., setting up equipment, scrubbing in, handing instruments and supplies to surgeon. Assists the surgical team by preparing patient for transport out of O.R. and cleaning O.R.
Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Surgical Technologist Oregon state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Surgical Technologist program
• One year of work experience as Surgical Technologist
• One year of EMR experience
• National certification as a Surgical Technician
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
