Optimum is partnering with a leading hospital in Miami, Florida, that has an opening for a Thoracic/Lung Pathologist to join their team.
This academic position at a reputable institution offers excellent benefits and the chance to work alongside residents and fellows.
Opening Details:
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
• Frozen/Consult Call: 1 weekend every 6 weeks, 1 weeknight every 3 weeks
• Annual Volume: ~2,900 cases
• Big focus on interstitial lung diseases and lung transplant
• Cytopathology skills preferred, not required
• Academic position, will work with residents and fellows
• EMR: Cerner, Epic
• Must be board-certified

Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Physicians/Surgeon Florida state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Physicians/Surgeon program
• One year of work experience as Physicians/Surgeon
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
