Optimum is working with a medical center in Brooklyn, New York, that has an opening for a Hematologist-Oncologist to join their team.

In this role, you can provide exceptional patient care alongside a dedicated team. During your time off, explore lively neighborhoods in the heart of New York City.

Position Highlights:
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
• Offsite call, every other week
• Setting: 1 clinic day per week, remaining days are inpatient
• Patient Volume: 15-20 per shift
• Providing comprehensive treatment and supportive care services for benign blood disorders and all cancer types
• Support Staff: 2 MDs, 3 nurses, cancer coordinator, and full clerical/support staff
• Board certification required

Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Physicians/Surgeon New York state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Physicians/Surgeon program
• One year of work experience as Physicians/Surgeon
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
