Optimum is proud to partner with a clinic in southern Florida that has an opening for a skilled Gastroenterologist to join their team.

Position Overview:
• Schedule: Monday-Wednesday & Friday (7:30a-3:30p), Thursday (8:30a-3:30p)
• Call Requirement: 6 weekends per year, 2 weekdays per month
• Setting: Outpatient
• Patient Volume: 20 per clinic day, up to 14 per procedure day
• Cases: General GI only; outpatient clinical and endoscopic services, screening procedures
• Support Staff: 2 APPs, full support
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
Compensation & Benefits:
• Competitive base salary + RVUs

Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Gastroenterologist Florida state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Gastroenterologist program
• One year of work experience as Gastroenterologist
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
