Collaborating with a hospital in southern Texas with an opening for an Emergency Medicine physician to assist their team.
About the Opening:
• Schedule: 6a-6p or 6p-6a
• No call required
• Annual Volume: 48,000 patients at main facility, 10,000 patients at additional facility
• Daily Volume: 131 patients at main facility, 27 patients at additional facility
• Support Staff: APPs, extensive subspecialty support
• EMR: Cerner
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible
• Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Emergency Medicine Physician Missouri state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
• One year of work experience as Emergency Medicine Physician
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
