Work Schedule: varies
Partnered with a reputable hospital in western North Carolina that has an opening for a General or Cardiac Anesthesiologist to provide locum coverage.
Opening Overview:
• Schedule: 10 or 12-hour shifts available
• No call requirement
• Total Volume: 10-15 CV cases per day or 3,500-4,000 general cases per month
• Cases: Cardiac or general anesthesia; OB, trauma, vascular, neurology, urology, and orthopedics
• Peripheral nerve blocks required
• Support Staff: CRNAs
• 1:3 or 1:4 supervision, can work independently
• EMR: Cerner, AIMS
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible
• Paid travel & expenses
During your time off, stroll through a vibrant arts district, hike to cascading waterfalls and panoramic peaks, and drive a scenic parkway that winds through the mountains.

Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Anesthesiologist North Carolina state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Anesthesiologist program
• One year of work experience as Anesthesiologist
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
