Candidate Type: NP (Nurse Practitioner);PA (Physician's Assistant)
Job Type: Locum
Disciplines: SGL (Surgical Services)
is partnering with a hospital in Savannah, Georgia, with an opening for a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage.
Opening Details:
• Schedule: 24-hour beeper call, 1 weekend per month
• Daily Volume: 8 patients
• Duties: Consults, ED, CVICU, and anything related to CT surgery
• Team Structure: 1 Surgeon, 2 APPS, floor and OR nurse structure
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses
During your time off, stroll along a cobblestone riverfront, take a scenic riverboat cruise, and indulge in classic Southern cuisine at local eateries.

Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Physician Assistant Georgia state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Physician Assistant program
• One year of work experience as Physician Assistant
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
