Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pipe Welder to join our manufacturing and fabrication team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and assembling pipe systems across diverse projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and engineering specifications. Responsibilities

• Perform pipe welding using TIG, MIG, FCAW, and <LOCATION> welding techniques on various materials including sheet metal and ductwork.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement instruments to achieve exact specifications.
• Operate machinery such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and pipe threading equipment to shape and prepare materials.
• Execute rigging, mechanical assembly, and pipe installation tasks on construction sites with safety and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling materials and disposing of waste according to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to ASME codes & standards and company quality policies.
• Conduct inspections using schematics and technical documents to verify weld integrity and dimensional accuracy.
• Support fabrication activities involving machining, soldering, assembly, and the use of mechanical knowledge for complex pipe systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues related to welding or fabrication processes by applying basic math skills and technical expertise.

Requirements

• Proven construction site experience with a strong background in pipe welding, fabrication, or related trades.
• Proficiency in TIG welding, MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), plasma cutting, and <LOCATION> welding techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and use measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers accurately.
• Familiarity with rigging operations, pipe threading, machining processes, soldering, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
• Mechanical knowledge of piping systems including ductwork installation, assembly procedures, and schematics interpretation.
• Experience working with ASME codes & standards governing pressure vessels and piping systems.
• Knowledge of construction safety protocols including crane operation and forklift handling.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations related to fabrication tolerances, or project specifications.
