Real Estate Paralegal / Legal Assistant
Glens Falls, NY (In-Office)
Fusco Personnel is actively recruiting for a Real Estate Paralegal / Legal Assistant on behalf of a well-established law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting attorneys through all phases of residential and commercial real estate transactions.
The Real Estate Paralegal / Legal Assistant will work closely with attorneys, clients, lenders, title companies, real estate professionals, and municipalities to facilitate real estate transactions from contract execution through closing and post-closing activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and review contracts, deeds, transfer documents, closing statements, and lending documentation.
- Coordinate residential and commercial real estate closings with lenders, title companies, attorneys, and clients.
- Prepare closing disclosures, settlement statements, and closing checks.
- Communicate professionally with clients, realtors, lenders, municipal offices, title companies, and opposing counsel.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic and paper files.
- Manage calendars, schedules, recording requirements, deadlines, and closing timelines.
- Provide exceptional client service throughout the transaction process.
- Assist attorneys with administrative and legal support functions as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in a law firm environment preferred.
- Experience supporting real estate transactions, closings, and mortgage lending matters strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Notary Public designation preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 annually + Comprehensive Benefits Package
