Director of Dispatch & Communications

Albany, NY 

Fusco Personnel is conducting a search on behalf of a leading Emergency Medical Services organization for an experienced Director of Dispatch & Communications to lead its Communications Center and Dispatch Supervisory team.

This is a key leadership role responsible for day-to-day dispatch operations, staffing, performance management, training, quality assurance, and continuous improvement. The Director will work closely with senior leadership to ensure efficient service delivery, strong communication with field crews, and compliance with operational standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of dispatch/public safety communications experience
• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience
• Current EMD certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Experience with operational metrics, reporting, and data analysis
• Ability to manage staffing, performance, policies, and workflow in a fast-paced environment
• EMS, public safety, emergency management, or related education/experience preferred

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Dispatch Supervisor ready to take the next step into a department-level leadership position.  

Compensation:

• $100,000-$130,000/yr
