Description

SPECIALTY CLINICAL PHARMACIST – REMOTE

We are seeking a licensed pharmacist to serve as our Specialty Clinical Pharmacist — the clinical authority our teams turn to on all things specialty medication. You'll dig into cost-of-care patterns and prescribing behavior across our book of business, then translate what you find into practical guidance the rest of the organization can act on. This is a role for someone who keeps their clinical knowledge sharp through ongoing education and professional involvement, and who genuinely enjoys being the go-to expert in the room.

Responsibilities:

  • Track emerging trends in specialty drugs, pipeline activity, biosimilar launches, and shifting regulations — and turn what you learn into strategy and guidance the business can use.
  • Sit in on client conversations, proposals, and presentations alongside the sales team, explaining our clinical approach in terms that land.
  • Weigh in on complicated medication cases, high-cost claims, and prior authorization questions, including rare or complex disease states.
  • Own the clinical database that underpins our specialty drug strategy, keeping it accurate and current.
  • Act as the clinical go-to for colleagues in data analytics, product development, marketing, and sales.
  • Help product, sales, and operations teams understand the nuances of specialty pharmacy and stay current on clinical developments.
  • Work directly with prescribers to advocate for clinically sound, cost-effective medication alternatives, backing up recommendations with solid clinical reasoning.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's or advanced degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D. or M.S.).
  • An active, unrestricted pharmacy license.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Specialty Pharmacist (CSP) credential.
  • At least a year of specialty pharmacy experience.
  • Background working with a Pharmacy Benefit Manager or health plan.

Location:  Fully remote

Status:  Full-time

Salary:  $115K to 125K, plus benefits
